This Inn is a little hidden when driving through the town and we were definitely traveling during non-peak season. The streets were dead! Either way, we got to the Inn and thought we had the whole place to ourselves, because there were no other cars in the parking lot. We walked in and saw a beautiful, modern lobby with a fireplace going. The room was spaciously small, if that makes sense. There's no elevators in this place, so be prepared to carry your luggage around.
Breakfast was good too. They had a little bit of everything, but better than a continental breakfast at a normal hotel.
I would stay here again.
Situated 2 blocks from West Yellowstone Town Park, this non-smoking hotel offers free Wi-Fi in all rooms.

Nothing no staff on hand to register and get room entry- room 114 was in a filthy condition had to phone the receptionist back out to get another room after 15-20 of messing around then got offered another room as key card didn’t work on room 116 finished up getting a room although we asked the receptionist for a refund but was told that we had to contact booking.com. The receptionist that booked us into the hotel was very unhelpful and not once did she apologise at any time! I would recommend this hotel to anyone there are other faults but too long to make at this time. 😡😡

A bucket list type trip! Do not miss out on staying in West Yellowstone, just outside the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. This town was cute as a peach. We stayed at the 1872 INN (adults-only) and I could not recommend that property enough! Excellent accommodations with ample parking, great location and excellent breakfast included in the stay. The food in this town is TOP notch and these Montanan's know their meat and potatoes! And I know good food being from Chicago. There are plenty of shops to walk around on a rainy day and don't miss out on the Yellowstone Brewing Company. Great beers on tap and a wide selection.
One thing to note is to NOT BUY bear spray. There are a few Kiosks scattered throughout the town (one in the same building as the brewery) where you can rent bear spray for about $10 a day. You will definitely want to carry bear spray with you if you are hiking in any fashion.

My husband and I truly enjoyed West Yellowstone.
My husband and I truly enjoyed West Yellowstone. The vistas within the park were absolutely stunning. We spent 2 days touring this section of Yellowstone. We are well travelled and this trip to Yellowstone is one of the best vacations we have taken. The town itself is cute if not a little dated. It had good shopping for souvenirs and decent restaurants. The people were friendly.

Great place to base camp from.
Great place to base camp from. Food choices hit all the boxes. Get the ice cream. The entrance to the park is less than a minute from the edge of town. Highly recommend visiting the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in town, and Earthquake Lake is an easy 30-minute drive west of town. 2 very interesting and informative destinations outside of the park. Combine them for a 1/2, or 3/4, day trip.

West Yellowstone is a resort town built for a basically...
West Yellowstone is a resort town built for a basically captive audience of seasonal tourists. Consequently, as one might expect, it is expensive and chock-full of kitsch. Yellowstone NP is in a very remote area, and in-park accommodations are limited, expensive, and need to be booked a year (or more) in advance. So, staying outside the park, in West Yellowstone and Gardiner, is a popular option. We stayed in both, to have convenient access to different parts of the park. Yellowstone is huge, and trying to explore the park from just one location can result in an inordinate amount of driving and wasted time.
So, unless you're camping in the park or fortunate enough to land a room at one or more the in-park lodges, you will be staying in West Yellowstone or Gardiner, or both. They are tourist towns, first and foremost, and exist in their current state only because they are so close to the park and have no real competition. My better half doesn't mind the inflated prices and relentless kitsch. I do. YMMV.

It is convenient to Yellowstone, and the Inn is very close to the park. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, tourist shopping, and museums. The drive travellings to and from is beautiful. I recommend The Grey Wolf Inn.

Nice town with lots of choices for food, shopping and motels. Unfortunately, I would not stay at the Yellowstone Country Inn again. The Outpost had a very good breakfast. Dinner at Three Bears Restaurant and Old Town Cafe was very good. Staff at all three restaurants was also very good.

We really enjoyed our stay at crosswinds. It was very comfortable and felt almost like a home. The cleanliness was top notch! The cleanest hotel I've stayed at in and out of the room. We had a generously sized refrigerator compared to the average hotel fridge and a microwave. The breakfast was quite good, had a good variety, and it was ready at 6am so you could eat and still beat the crowd into the park. There are plenty of restaurants nearby as well as a grocery store within walking distance. We will be back on our next trip!
Close to entrance West Yellowstone, First time We walked in my wife just said ill certaintly will come back to the hotel with my family when they came and visit me in USA.
She loved the hotel and the amenities, very close to hotel we always had everytime we had vacation in her home country at least she said very clean and modern.
If shes happy then im happy ;)
Thank you and we will be back in the future with my wife family ;)
The staff was awesome! They gave us several ideas on what to do outside of Yellowstone. The breakfast was great. The rooms were extremely quiet. The hotel was away from the bustle of West Yellowstone but close enough to get easily get to the West Yellowstone Gate. We would definitely stay here again if we ever get back to Yellowstone!
The motel was so close to the west entrance of Yellowstone and in walking distance of restaurants and shops. The room was very large and clean. Even though West Yellowstone is expensive as far as hotels go this had one of the best value we could find online. The beds were comfortable and the place was very quiet.
Hotel well situated for visiting Yellowstone park. The room was clean, but quite small for 3 people. Breakfast ok, quite a variety of dishes. There was definitely a shortage of vegetables. The hotel has a swimming pool and the possibility of free washing. I can recommend the hotel.
Lynda was amazing! Gave us a run down on best trails to try and restaurants to check out. The staff as a whole was very friendly and made the trip a pleasant experience. Hotel location was perfect- walking distance to the starting line of each race and short distance to the park.
Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of seating for our group of 7. I traveled most of my career and honestly I chose to eat anywhere but the hotel in which I am staying; however, the Kelly Inn in West Yellowstone had a great variety and quality breakfast.
Everything was top! Also the rooms include the breakfast, which is have Everything you need start your day.
Hashbrown, bacon,.sausage, flakes, fruits.etc.
Also the stuff really friendly!
I could say the one of the best hotel in west yellowstone!
Elkhorn Cabins and Inn is in a great location in West Yellowstone, very near the Yellowstone National Park west entrance. The cabins are simple, but very nice and clean. The staff members were very nice and helpful.
The location was fine. It was easy to find there was plenty of parking and the hotel is within walking distance of everything.
The room was a good size, clean and comfortable.
Very nice hotel in West Yellowstone with super friendly staff, nice breakfast, very pleasant pool with hot tub. In general, really nice stay and I would use it surely again.
After five days in Yellowstone cabins, staying at this very comfortable hotel with a pool, breakfast, and comfortable beds was a perfect way to end our trip.
