Excellent position and very comfortable room. Breakfast was very good, varied and high quality. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We had inadvertently taken the parking permit from our previous hotel with us and they sorted this out for us.

Hotel is a short walk from the train station and the centre of the town, which is exactly what we wanted. The rooms, all ground floor, are nice supplying everything we needed, and we enjoyed the rooms’ own patio area with table/chairs and sun beds, which gave us a beautiful view of the garden and the lake and mountains beyond. Stunning. Nice clean pool with lots of sun beds. Lovely bright, modern breakfast restaurant which offered a good selection. Staff friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was crazy good. Loved staying at Hotel Colico. I especially enjoyed my balcony that overlooked mountains at the rear of the building. So
beautiful. If I could, I would have stayed longer.

Location was perfect for visiting the beautiful towns situated along Lake Como. Was not as touristy and crowded
as Como etc. There are plenty of eateries nearby as in really close walking distance.

A quit place with few restaurants and cafes (and some of them are exceptional, eg. a cafe Ferris serves great cornetti, a local gelateria Riva Reno by the street going to the main square - offered very good ice cream, Made Colico restaurant prepares one of the best pizza but it is worth to try menu degustazione as well. Apart from food there are some places to visit like Forte Montecchio Nord which can visited only with a guide (totally worth it) or a longer trip to Fort Fuentes. Piona Abbey is worth visiting (a bit difficult to get to without a car). And of course Varenna (with it villa Monastero, but the town itself is also worth seeing).

tried the recomended restaurants but found them not to my liking
then found a family run restaurant at the end of the piazza and started to enjoy the real food of the place.
as it rained every single day we were there we did not do too much exploring but watching the cloud formation on the mountains surrounding the town was mesmering.
brilliant if you want to just relax, but as the boats run frequent you can move well.

We had only booked to stay 3 nights in Colico in April.
We had only booked to stay 3 nights in Colico in April. Out of season the town is quiet but there are walks and ferry rides to several locations around the lake. We found places to eat. It would be very busy in high season we suspect. Ideal for those who want to see large areas of water with mountain scenery and wildlife. There was a lot of snow on the mountain tops in April.

Colico is great place to stay if You want easily get to different towns on this side of lake Como in different days.
Colico - Chiavenna lets You go to very north, on a train Colico - Lecco You can reach Bellano, Varenna...from Varenna by ferry to Bellagio.
You can hike the mountains near the Colico - even to get to Monte Bassetta to see the alpine cows with bells on their neck, which make unbelievable sound! That feeling! If we could read before we get there that it is possible to buy also the cheese there :D, we would not be afraid to interrupt those cows :)
You can do windserfing, take a bike and go around the city. Evening walks are just great also.
Love this place <3

This is a great town if you want to avoid the tourist masses in the south of Lake Como. There are a number of restaurants in the heart of the town, supermarkets, and great access to the lake (with grass to lie down on!). Tip: visit Val di Mello - ideally not during the weekend (it gets very crowded then!).
The location of this little bungalow was fabulous, with a view over the lake in the quiet area of Colico, at the top of Lake Como. At the end of a campsite it offered a safe place to park the car and had everything we needed for a one night stop over. It was actually so comfortable we stayed and extra night, with a walk along the beach to a selection of restaurants and a water bus to visit other towns around the lake. The lake was shallow some way out and great for swimming. The hosts were friendly and helpful.
Everything was excellent. The checkin process was very easy and smooth. The host was very friendly. This apartment had an excellent view of Lake como and the mountains. There was even some toys to keep our toddler engaged. Parking was right in front of the apartment. The nearest grocery store was about a 10 minute walk. Lake como is also just a 2 minute drive from this place. I would highly recommend this place.
Great property with everything you could need for a short stay. It was lovely to have 2 balconies and access to the garden at the back. The apartment was only a 5-7 minutes walk to the ferry where we could access the other villages on the lake. Although after visiting the very busy and very touristy towns like Bellagio we were glad to come home to calmness of Colico.
This hotel is a little gem of a find. Amazing views of the lake, fantastic amenities and facilities and the staff are great. Our breakfast was included which was a great perk. If anything more clear info on transport from Milan could benefit future guests as we ended up travelling the long way to the hotel and theirs far quicker routes.
the view was amazing and the pool area is lovely. location is good in colico, it’s quite far up a hill so would be advisable to have a car here. only 25 mins drive from varenna which is a lovely village and then you can take the ferry to bellagio. there is a beach close by and a large shopping mall. great stop for lake como visits.
The apartment was very clean and well-maintained. It had a big balcony with an amazing view of lake Como.
It is comparable to a 4-star hotel in terms of quality. And exceeds that when it comes to customer service and adapting to personal requests (we had a little baby so we found a crib and a high chair for him).
What a wonderful stay! We really enjoyed all the space, the cleanliness of the apartment, and the swimming pool. Andrea and Eleanora were such wonderful hosts! We loved being in Colico where we had access to everything but it was not so busy as the other areas of the lake. We would be thrilled to stay again.
One of the most beautiful and detailed hotel and room I’ve ever seen .
Amazing staff and service which made our road trip so much more enjoyable.
Because of such places we love to drive around Italy .
Well done to the family designers and friendly service .
100% recommended .
The hotel is quite small and located neear the main road of Colico. The staff are very polite and quick to serve you. The rooms are big and beds are comfortable. The shower are big and shining clean. The breakfast was served with fresh bread and fine omelet.
What a fabulous little boutique hotel, absolutely gorgeous décor and furniture, bathroom suite very nice. Breakfast was lovely too, outside if its sunny, in a sweet garden. Colico is a small town so you are near everything, 5 mins walk to the lake edge.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic view from the hotel room - amazing to open the window shades in the morning and look out on life and the sea. A great way to start the day! And not to forget, the breakfast was very good.
The hotel is situated next to Lake Como. Close to Colico Train Station and the boat ferry station is in front of the hotel. The staff are very helpful especially Renzo. My room has a nice lake view. The breakfast was good.
Great location in the heart of city Colico. A nature walk path starts close to the hotel so you can explore the lake on foot.
The hotel staff is really friendly and the breakfast was nice!
We loved our stay at Colico. The hotel was welcoming, very clean, and in an excellent location. Really delicious breakfast. Good recommendation for diner at the lake from the hotel.
The view of the hotel overlooking the lake was quite impressive. It has its own parking area. Breakfast was Flawless! Andrea was very attentive. Cleanliness was extremely good.
We had a great room that overlooked Lake Como. It had everything we needed with an amazing view. The Hostess was very welcoming, and breakfast was exceptional both days.
The view! The lake view from our room was simply wonderful, the room itself was very comfortable and nicely decorated, overall my favorite stay in Italy so far!
