One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as ‘America’s Walking City’. In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. The nearby seaport offers whalewatching trips and restaurants serving a Boston speciality: lobster with melted butter.
The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modelled on the 80s sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book ‘Make Way for Ducklings’. The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.
The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.
Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.
The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

Loved the fact the hotel was Central and that Boston is easily walkable. Cobble stones and damaged pavements everywhere in older part, North side much easier to walk around.
Some great shops & restaurants, surpringly, not much veggie unless you count green salad.
Everywhere felt safe and comfy to walk round. A week is just enough time for a visit.
For those GF and Vegan I can't recommend Jennifer Lee enough, amazing sandwiches and cakes. Pho also great for vegan food. If you're a carnivore pretty much anywhere is great for you.
We did the hop on hop off Trolley Bus tour one day which was great, some guides were good, others not so much. Tbe Freedom Trail was really interesting, guide was helpful and gave loads of interesting facts on top of the historical info.

Don't let the stereotypes fool you.
Don't let the stereotypes fool you. The people of Boston, while not talkative like I am coming from the south, were the nicest city of strangers I have met, and you can feel a sense of comradery. Multiple instances I had some of the best of a food I'd ever had. The architecture is beautiful and the city is filled to the brim with history around every corner. Be prepared to walk for a deep appreciation of the architecture - it is sprinkled and spaced out all across the city. But it is worth it.
Location excellent. Walkable to all main sites: downtown, China town, Theatre district, Port, North End, Charlseton, Back Bay, South End.
On main road find excellent restaurants that stayed open past 10pm.
Use app SpotHero to save on parking...well worth it.
Best breakfast is at Capital Coffee House.
This hotel is not a 4 star because the rooms need upgrading: beds need to be queen not double, bathrooms outdated, doors need to be changed & carpetting is not clean in rooms, prefer wood floors.
It located in the center of downtown Boston, and very convenient to visit the historical sites just by walking. From our window, we could see the Old State House. It just takes 2-3 mins walking to get to Faneuil Hall. There are many restaurants and a Walgreen nearby. The supermarket is not far neither. The train station is just a minute's walking distance. The hotel seems newly remodeled and looks very new and clean. The front desk staffs were very friendly.
Hotel was good clean and nice breakfast. Gym and pool also. Check out 12pm. Shuttle service to Airport and Wood Island Station.
Laura was especially helpful went out of her way to make sure we got a shuttle back to the hotel from thr station even though she finished her shift.
Location very convenient you can get the 450 Bus to Boston only takes 10-15mins.
Edward also was great he changed our room over at request.
Simply the best. The luxury, the comfort, the quality of every single thing in the room and the hotel is just amazing! I've stayed at the Vegas Encore many times too, and of course it's identical to this one in terms of decor and feel. But this Boston one just felt a little extra friendly for some reason. Maybe it's the free boat ride or just the location itself. We had an amazing stay.
The Hotel is located 1 minute walk to Boston common park , restaurants , boutiques , store , are at walking distance . The room with a balcony face back bay was comfortable , spacious ,clean and quiet . We been to the hotel restaurant for the breakfast it was delicious , staff were attentive and helpful the same at the front desk very good reception.
The hotel is in a great location , they have a shuttle to and from the airport for $10 each way, and a free shuttle every day on the hour to the train station, which is do easy to get to Boston city and any where you need to go from there, the breakfast was really good and the hotel was quiet,a really pleasant stay
This hotel is very close to the downtown area of Boston, Quincy Market, Public Market, Faneuil Hall , and other interesting places of Boston city. The whole staff was extremely kind and helpful. We had requested a suite which was comfortable and cozy even though it was small. The bed was extremely comfortable.
The views of Boston from the hotel are stunning. Rooms were spotlessly clean with everything you would need. Delightful toiletries. Gear access to airport with courtesy bus service. We also used the water taxi which was a great experience and value for money to get right into the heart of the city.
The location is excellent! Being in the Back Bay area was great! Staying in the "studio" felt like a true Boston apartment, rather than a hotel. The keyless codes to get into the 3 doors were easy, yet felt secure and safe. The property had everything we needed. We loved having the kitchen!
Unbeatable location. Close to the subway and Boston Common and walking distance from the main attractions downtown like Quincy Market, North end, etc.
Staff was super friendly and professional
The lobby of the hotel allows for comfortably sitting down and get some work done.
Very central location in the financial district and walking g distance to all attractions. The hotel restaurant is one of the best in Boston (we reserved there weeks ago before we even knew it was the restaurant of the hotel). The fitness center is very well equipped.
Great hotel! The location was perfect for Copley/Back Bay! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable, and large for downtown Boston! Decent views and more. The issue was no microwave, but not a big deal.
Perfect hotel to stay after/before a long flight. The airport shuttle service works perfectly (note: it can also drop you by the blue line station to downtown Boston), and the breakfast and bar services provide many food options.
Hotel was in a great location, right next to most of downtown Boston attractions. Room was much bigger than expected, easily accommodated all of us as well as our extra guest. Staff was friendly and very helpful.
Central location in downtown Boston with walking access to main sights, good food and nightlife. Public transit and citibikes are within one block. Beautiful hotel, comfortable rooms and friendly service.
Modern Hotel. Nice counter staff. Cafe-Bar in Lobby, very clean rooms and bath (shared)
The location is near to prudential tower and back bay station - 35-40min by foot to Downtown Boston
Excellent staff , any thing extra we required for the baby in the group was organised with out any fuss and done with genuine warmth !! Best Hotel Stay on our USA Vacation . Thank You
Just outside of the Boston bustle & congestion. Close to the airport, but not an airport hotel. Around the corner from a Mall and Outlet Stores. Friendly staff.
