Fiumicino is best known for its access to the Eternal City through Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport. Despite this recent claim to fame, Fiumicino includes several archaeological sites around the ancient harbors of Ostia and Portus. It's also an important fishing center and summer resort, especially along the beaches and coves of Isola Sacra.
Hosting the busiest airport in Italy and the sixth busiest in Europe, the town has grown in a series of services that fit with these suburban functions. Examples are the Fiera di Roma conference center, or the Parco Leonardo recreation center.
The town of Fiumicino is 20 miles from central Rome, while Da Vinci Airport is 19 miles away from the Italian capital. The remains of Ostia Antica are less than 6 miles away.
Like many airports in the world, you can find hotels in Fiumicino Airport directly on its premises, providing effortless access to your flights.
Since most Fiumicino hotels are in the Isola Sacra area, you might get the chance to enjoy the Tyrrhenian beaches and the tasty Italian seafood.

Federico picked us up at Fiumicino airport for the short drive to his villa. He is a very welcoming and friendly person who is very courteous, The room is impeccably clean and well appointed. Beautiful gardens surround the property and deck. Quiet, nice neighborhood with great nearby trattoria for dinner. Excellent place to stay--we will again as we did last year.

Not enough people working check in.
Not enough people working check in. Only one person and one who seemed to be involved with an issue of another guest( even after that guest left the desk). It wasn’t a long wait but if they had had two active persons checking folks in it would have been better. A/C was hard to regulate and no matter how many times we adjusted it , felt like a refridgerator. There were no written directions anywhere and we did not see a phone to contact the front desk.
Although the shuttles to the airport are not run by Hilton, they were quite taxing. There were two older individuals waiting in motorized scooters to board and the driver never lowered the ramp and quite rudely left without them. He took corners with no regard to passengers at all. A real white knuckle ride!
The taxis outside the Hilton were charging 50e for the 2 mile ride ..

Staff were excellent, location is good, and the facilities in the local area were very good. The local sea food is excellent. Sea front is best place to eat. Taxis and shuttles are reasonable. You dont need to go to Rome. The local council needs to clean up the area

We stayed one night at Il Piccolo before our flight home.
We stayed one night at Il Piccolo before our flight home. The accommodation was really close to the airport and Costantino helped me organise a shuttle to the airport.
The place was lovely and clean and the communication was very good. Breakfast was supplied and it was amazing.
As we had a late flight we were able to leave our luggage at the place while we explored Fiumicino.
Would highly recommend Il Piccolo.
This is a clean, comfortable hotel a short drive from Fiumicino airport and easy walking distance to many great waterside restaurants in the cute little seaside town of Fiumicino. Breakfast was great, and the manager drove us to the airport at the appointed time quickly and efficiently (10 minutes). Our room had an enormous terrace which was lovely to relax on after our journey to get here, and comfortable sleeping arrangements (1 double bed and a sleeper couch). We'll definitely stay here when next flying out of Rome.
I stayed just for one night as I needed to be close to the airport. The hotel is just one train stop away from the airport and is more affordable than the hotels in the airport. However the train between the hotel and the airport doesn't ride at night, so if you're arriving or leaving at night, you'll need to either take a taxi or arrange a shuttle service with the hotel. The staff was helpful arranging a shuttle for me to get to the airport early in the morning.
It was optimal for a short night stay for the connecting flight next morning. We arrived late and the host was very kind to check us in at late hour for no extra charge (9-10 in the evening). It was also fairly easy to get to the B&B from Fiumicino airport with a public bus + 10 mins walk.
Hotel had good value comparing to the prices in the neighbourhood and the city of Rome.
The hotel is conveniently located not far (15 mins drive) from the Fiumicino airport. It is very nice, modern and spacious. The staff was friendly and they also prepared a breakfast box for us, given that we would have missed the breakfast. Lovely!
Everything was clean, the mattresses firm enough and comfortable, and the rooms very quite. There's also a restaurant and a bar.
Great little hotel, room comfortable and modern large bathroom and quiet location walk to waterfront restaurants would stay again next time in Fiumicino.. Tip if you arrive Fiumicino Airport catch the #8 Local Bus opposite Taxi rank 1.50 Euro to get to town 400 Mtr walk to Hotel..
Lucca the Host was the best and shuttle us to the airport early morning flight...
A cute hotel with plenty of parking close to Fiumicino airport and so very convenient when departing from there. The owner, very friendly, promptly communicate with us giving info about shuttle service to/from the airport. Very clean room and bathroom. Highly recommend and definitely will stay again in the future.
The shuttle bus from Fiumicino Airport to the hotel at €6 per person which is paid at the hotel.
The reception staff are very helpful and able to communicate well in English.
The Hotel has spacious rooms and comfortable.
The breakfast was good and we were also provided with Gluten free items as requested.
The location of the hotel is excellent, really close to the Rome Fiumicino Airport Terminals and train station. It was very convenient to be able to walk to the terminal to catch a very early morning flight. The bed was very comfortable and staff were friendly and efficient
Extremely kind, helpful, smiling staff. Elevator! Immaculate, welcoming, quiet hotel tucked away on a nice, family friendly street, perfectly situated for access to Fiumicino Airport. Comfortable bed, excellent shower, perfect breakfast buffet with excellent coffee.
The Hotel Tiber offered an excellent bus shuttle service to and from Fiumicino Airport. It also included a very good breakfast. There are a number of wonderful restaurants within walking distance. The rooms have a wonderful outlook on to the port.
This hotel offers a highly convenient stay option in close proximity to Fiumicino airport. Complimentary shuttle service is available for guests, with the first scheduled departure at 4:05 AM and a nominal fee of 6 EURO.
Nice location nice balcony. I would’ve given this hotel a rating of 10, but the Internet was terrible because they kept disconnecting. Internet battery in cheaper hotels than this hotel.
Excellent hotel with access to Fiumicino Airport, just a few minutes walk to Terminal 3. Room was great and it was the best shower of anywhere during my 5 weeks in Italy.
It's a little oasis next to Fiumicino airport - hotel's garden is beautiful and green.
